FAQ

URC has developed a module/driver for their Total Control® line of premium, whole-house automation products, which include controllers, touchscreens, remote controls, keypads, mobile apps and more. Most of the available interfaces can now work with VISTA via Resideo 4232CBM (Connected Building Module). These products and modules are rigorously tested in URC labs for interoperability, and allow for URC's Total Control system to react based on different security system states (Arm/Away, Arm/Stay, Disarm, Intrusion, and Fire/Emergency). Additionally, this solution is compatible with URC's brand new ccGEN2 line which is offered through select distributors nationwide.

Resideo and URC dealers have been requesting an officially supported method for connecting VISTA control panels with a URC solution.

VISTA control panels that interface with URC's Total Control and ccGEN2 systems present both Resideo and URC dealers operating in the same region with an opportunity to align their installations and provide enhanced security services, innovative automation and multi-room audio to their customers. Dealers already installing both product lines can now benefit from the wide range of Resideo panels and peripherals in their home automation installations.

A single, low cost module (4232CBM Connected Building Module) and URC's 4232CBM profile will provide keypad emulation and basic system status for most residential and commercial Resideo VISTA panels (VISTA-15P, 20P, 21iP, 128BPT, 128FBPT, 250BPT, 250FBPT, 32FBPT and equivalent models sold by First Alert Professional dealers). For URC dealers, this offers an additional solution that can easily interface with URC compatible whole-house systems for security monitoring and control.

All Resideo equipment, including the 4232CBM interface module, is available through ADI. URC's Total Control and ccGEN2 products are not currently available through ADI. These URC product lines are available through Custom Integration Specialists around the globe.

Resideo is not selling URC products and URC is not selling Resideo products. Our relationship is enabling the business opportunity for Resideo dealers and URC dealers through the module/driver interface.
