How do I reconnect my First Alert device to Wi-Fi?

Once connected and registered to your account, your device(s) will maintain a Wi-Fi connection to your network. They will automatically attempt to reconnect to your network if the connection is lost.

If your device(s) do not reconnect automatically, please try the following:
1. Power cycle the device - remove power by removing the batteries (L1), unplugging the device (VX3, L5), or turning of the circuit breaker for 30 seconds (thermostats, L2) continue to step 2 only if your device does not automatically reconnect within 2-3 minutes.

2. Perform a "Wi-Fi Reset" using the First Alert app. (Select you offline device in the app, select the "Settings" cogwheel (bottom right), then select "Reset Wi-Fi"
*To reset the Wi-Fi, you will need access to the device – this function cannot be performed remotely*
